How onboarding works
A request to register a company leads to long chain of events inside InExchange Platfrom. Some parts of the registration process can even lead to the need of human intervention to resolve registration issues.
The typical workflow for registering companies is that a request with company details is issued to InExchange. If all goes well and the company is unknown a new one will be created within InExchange Platform and associated to the API-key holder that issued the registration.
Registration state transitions
There are cases where a collision might occur when the registered company already is registered with another party or a faulty registration was initiated. These issues trigger an event internally to InExchange Support where they can resolve the issue in several ways depending on internal dependencies and security reasons. If they are unable to resolve the issue of conflicting/faulty registrations they reach out to the API-key holder that issued the registration.
Registrations can take on the following statuses:
| Registration status | Description | Possible actions |
|---|---|---|
Registered |
The registration of said company has been successful and ready to use. | - |
Pending |
The registration is in any of the following states: * Pending - Its in progress for automatic setup where some delay sometimes may be expected due to load * Manual processing - The automatic registration failed and is added to a queue for manual processing by InExchange Support * Closed - The registration has either failed automatically or the registration process has been terminated by InExchange Support. |
Known limitations Current recommendation is to assume that a registration has failed if its status Pending for more than X days. InExchange Support will reach out to API-key holder that issued the registration. |
Known limitations
There currently is a lack of sufficient status reporting back via the API to in a clear way explain the state of a registration. This means there currently is no way of receiving information whether a registration has been closed or failed or is in active resolving state where InExchange Support are working on resolving it.
