How network requests work

The InExchange platform is a large network of a wide range of parties interacting with InExchange and/or through us. This means that there is a concept of relationships between parties. A large amount of them are established automatically and some require manual intervention depending on the quality and amount of information received. This also dictates how a document for example may be delivered.

Parties for which a network relation isnt possible to establish, neither manually nor automatically, documents might not be able to be delivered electronically. In those cases its possible to send documents by regular mail/paper. This relationship model enables control of where and who documents might be exchanged with.

Workflow

A solution to cover the cases for when a receiving or sending party cannot be found in InExchange Platform is to issue a Network Setup Request. These requests are issued to InExchange to setup a new receiving or sending party and trigger an event internally to InExchange Operations where they are resolved manually.

Based on the quality and the amount of information provided in the request it will either be rejected or accepted. Most rejections occur due to insufficient or incorrect information of the recipient. The API-keyholder is notifified of these accepted and rejected requests through email if available and setup initially.

Recommendations

Its not a requirement but recommended to at least supply the request with the following in order to increase the likelihood for a successful setup:

  • Name
  • Organization number
  • GLN/E-invoiceaddress,
  • Operator name
  • Email
